Managing Editor, Jeanine Russaw
Class standing: Sophomore

Jeanine is a Journalism major with a dual minor in Film Studies and Speech Communication. She writes for the Hofstra Chronicle and served as a media communications volunteer for the 2012 Presidential Debate held at Hofstra. Additionally, she is a Center for Civic Engagement Democracy Fellow committed to getting the  members of the Long Island community to discuss important issues leading up to this fall’s important election.  No matter what, she is eager to make a difference by using the power of words.

Podcast Personnel, Arielle Burton
Class standing: Sophomore

Arielle is a Journalism and Political Science dual major. In the future she wants to make a difference in the lives’ of others. A lot of her work for HABJ contributes to the Poetry section in her desire to share her talents. She manages podcasts, a new initiative for the Fall 2012 semester. Arielle is also the President of the Billiance Hall Council at Hofstra. She is also a staff member of WRHU – 88.7 FM New York, where she contributes to the Women’s Show; also heard on wrhu.org. 

Social Media Correspondent, Amanda Torres
Class standing: Junior

Amanda is a Broadcast Journalism major with a dual minor in Photography and Public Relations. She is a host for the Hip Hop Basement radio show on WRHU – 88.7 FM New York; also heard on wrhu.org. She is also a member of Hofstra Concerts and is all about social networking and the entertainment industry.

Photo Editor, My-Eisha Wicks
Class standing: Junior

My-Eisha is a dual major in English- Creative Writing and Secondary Education. She enjoys photography and writing in her spare time and wishes to one day own a multimedia art gallery for inner-city youth. My-Eisha is a member of SP!T, Hofstra’s poetry club and performed for Black History Month of 2011.

Public Relations Chair, Jade McCall
Class Standing: Junior

Jade is a Print Journalism major with a minor in Sociology. Since middle school, she has loved to write and hopes that her passion will take her into a great career. She aspires to write for her favorite magazine, Glamour. In her spare time she likes to read, dance or just write about life and her aspirations.

Public Relations Co-Chair, Camille Cruz
Class standing: Junior

Camille is a Broadcast Journalism major and a Dance minor and she enjoys writing about the arts. Her interests include covering stories that affect the minority population. Her work has been published in Long Island Report and HerCampus.com. Camille is President of Hofstra’s IMANI Dance Ensemble and a dance instructor at a studio in Valley Stream. With all her talents, she hopes to gain a job in the radio industry as well as maintain a dance studio of her own.
